Ray Gun: Like the best rock and roll, a magazine conceived in white heat. Raw by choice, immediate by necessity. Alternative by design.

Why? Because we’re fans. Pure and simple. We still believe that music and the people who make it can change the world. Have to, in fact. Because if we don’t, no one else will.

We could, of course, give you the standard adjectival rap, and promise that Ray Gun will be penetrating, illuminating and razor-sharp. But we’d rather you find that out for yourself.

And as you do, clue us in on what you think. In the meantime, thanks to the musicians, journalists, photographers and artists, advertisers, publicists and people within the media for generously giving us support, access and belief.

Now to paraphrase one of our inspirations, it’s time to put the Ray Gun to your head and freak out in a moonage daydream all your own.
