Capricious Magazine
Founded by Swedish photographer Sophie Mörner in 2004, Capricious Magazine is an international fine art photography publication for emerging artists and is issued twice annually. The presented work is neither commercial, nor fashion photography; it creates visual narrative without itermediary contextualization. Capricious is a potential makeshift, personal gallery of autonomous works, as well as journal. Readers become critics, curators and artists rather than mere consumers. Capricious magazine is the leading fine art photography journal as well as a tool for discovering new talents from all over the world.
Capricious Publishing
Capricious as a concept indicates whimsicality and impulse, and Capricious as a publishing entity reflects its namesake in terms of creating cultural and artistic projects and publications. Capricious Publishing currently produces three journals: GLU, Famous and Capricious. It has also done several special edition projects in the past including: LTTR, Screen Capricious 1, and a VoodooEros CD compilation. It has recently begun issuing GLU Music #1 (on CD) and a line of wearable items. Capricious Publishing is also in production of its second artist book, which will feature the work of Melanie Bonajo.
