Before we made this magazine we'd simply had enough of the media focusing on celebrity for celebrity's sake. There didn't seem to be any magazines that were seeking out all those talented individuals and collectives who actually make a positive contribution to our culture. The ones with a passion for art, architecture, photography, music, fashion, film and design...These are the kind of people who inspire us, and when we initially approached a number of them about collaborating with Adam and Eve on this, our first issue, we were amazed at their enthusiasm and generosity of spirit. All we hope for is that some of the spontaneity, fun and excitement of our encounters with Penelope Seidler or Tom Wiscombe or David Shrigley or Nick Cave have made it onto these pages...
