Bibel was launched in 1998 and came out with 15 issues until April 2000. During its short existence, Bibel changed the way people in Sweden look at fashion and also managed to connect with an international audience. Within a pop cultural context Bibel mixed fashion with music, literature and film, exploring the boundaries between different media and cultural categories. Bibel introduced new, young and independent-minded designers and photographers from Sweden and abroad, and was part of the global generation shift in the fashion world of the late 1990s.
